New Gate Hostel is located within the historic Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center, a Pontifical Institute of the Catholic Church, directly opposite the New Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City. Formerly known as the School Hostel, this space once served the Center’s hospitality school and has since been thoughtfully renewed to welcome travelers, pilgrims, and groups from around the world.
Rooted in a Christian tradition of hospitality dating back to 1888, New Gate Hostel reflects the Catholic identity and mission of Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center. Welcoming guests of all faiths and backgrounds, the hostel offers simple, comfortable accommodation in a setting shaped by history, faith, and service.
